Made in Europe
At our sock factory situated in Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the northern part of Portugal, we produce approx. 3 to 4 million pairs of socks each year on our state of the art knitting machines. We have invested more than 1 million EUR in new sock knitting machines and technology within the last years. It is a top priority for us to be forefront on quality, technology and design solutions, but also with the aim to have the most energy and water efficient solutions to benefit the environment.
Customer service, on time delivery and competitive prices are key words for us. From our company in Portugal we deliver socks directly to our customer’s warehouses. Being close to market means fast reaction, shorter transportation time and less carbon footprint during transportation. Nearly all European destinations are reached within 5 working days.

Our History
ComfySocks was founded in May 1998 by Jørgen Mørup and Steen Aaes, two long time experienced textile manufactures from Herning, Denmark. Ulrik joined the company in 2000 and in connection with an acquisition of another Danish sock factory Lars joined the company in 2004. ComfySocks is still run by the same steady and proud Danish production team with 20 years of knowledge within sock production.
We acknowledge the proud history, which is part of our company, but we are also proud of the strong team which today draw the lines of ComfySocks with expert knowledge in technical production, customer service, product development and sustainability.
ComfySocks has always been run based on Scandinavian business practice and values. In 2004 we moved our production location to Lithuania where we ran a very successfull production growing the company from 50 sock knitting machines to 150. However, due to lack of skilled work force, we decided to move our production to Portugal - a country well know for their strong textile industry.
Today we have a strong company in Familicão and a very skilled team led by Filipe and Ulrik. Combining our years of experience and knowhow from Denmark and Lithuania with the best of Portugal, we are excited to have started the best chapter of our history.
